In recent Editor’s Logs, I have spoken about my need to get away to cruise more often; to visit friends and family, find time to relax on the boat and have a little fun, too. Mission accomplished, sort of.As I’d mentioned, my wife Holly and I enjoy setting off on short, weekend hops to Port Jefferson, NY – and more specifically, Conscience Bay. There’s a great spot, close to shore with plenty of deep water, a seemingly endless light, cool breeze and clear, calm water. A mere two hours from our home port and it feels like we’re on vacation – it’s a most relaxing way to decompress after a hectic work week and we enjoy the time on the boat, secluded from others.
Hey, you – turn around and look behind you!
